The stalls where these shots were taken are essentially souvenir stalls. FOOD is the favourite souvenir for the Thai tourist. Thais generally have only a very vague idea of geography (and they don't hold much store by maps) but they have an encyclopediac knowledge of where best in Thailand to get precisely what food items.
Lawrence, some excellent photographs. The fish and frogs are interesting.
I also read the post from the Gulf-the mosque is impressive. Reminds me a little of a similar one in Brunei.
